Disability Cambridgeshire is an advice and information service for disabled people and/or older people and their carers. We serve people of all ages in South and East Cambridgeshire, Fenland and Cambridge City.
Disability Cambridgeshire is affiliated to and accredited by Dial UK and works in partnership with Disability Huntingdonshire (formerly known as DISH) and Cambs ULO, The Cambridgeshire User Led Organisation.
On 3 November Fran Williamson, Paralympic swimmer, officially opened the
new centre at Pendrill Court, Papworth Everard, where three disability organisations - Disability Cambridgeshire, Disability Huntingdonshire, and
Cambridgeshire User Led Organisation (ULO) - are moving in together to cope with the cuts while at the same time offering more accessible facilities.
Disabled people, their carers and the parents of disabled children can drop in, get advice over the telephone or make an appointment to visit the centre. They can also ask for a home visit. In addition the ULO offers training and awareness sessions countywide for those who want to manage their own care budgets.

Cambridgeshire's new adult social care website,
Your Life, Your Choice,
provides information about adult social care in Cambridgeshire.
The aim is to ensure that everyone living in Cambridgeshire and looking for information about adult social care has access to information at a time and in a format that suits them.
Individuals seeking social care information for the first time, service users and carers will all be able to access Your Life, Your Choice in places such as libraries and Citizen's Advice Hubs or directly via the website.
Disability Cambridgeshire works with forums of disabled people and their carers around the county. These groups provide members with social contact, support and an opportunity to campaign and work together.

Go For It - a handbook for young disabled people living in Cambridgeshire. This book is for you if you're aged somewhere between 14 and 20. It's about your move into adult life. It's about having fun too, and about coping when you're having problems.
